CORPORATE BANKRUPTCY, RESTRUCTURING AND BUSINESS LITIGATION
Pat Kelley is based in Tyler and practices throughout Texas, primarily representing clients involved in business and bankruptcy related litigation. After beginning his practice in Houston clerking for the Hon. Ben C. Connally, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, he practiced for several years at the Houston firm of Sheinfeld, Maley & Kay in both bankruptcy and business litigation. He then moved to Tyler and was a founding member of Ireland, Carroll & Kelley, P.C. until its dissolution at the end of 2018. In 2019 he opened his own firm in downtown Tyler. Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1990, his experience has involved representation in Texas bankruptcy courts of corporate debtors, creditors, committees, trustees and other parties as well as general business litigation in both state and federal courts. In addition to appearing in the bankruptcy courts of every judicial district in Texas, he has argued appellate matters in both the Texas Supreme Court and the federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
